Ashley Loveland Missions aided a ministry group to develop leaders and participate in practical ministry on-the-ground in London, England. Also while in the UK, ALM was able to encourage and reconnect with other UK ministry connections in Brimingham and Surrey.

Fun and Ministry in London - Week 1

So far I have been able to engage with the ongoing ministries at Love Beyond Ministry which I am partnering with. They have multiple campuses, including where I am staying in Camden, London. Some of these campuses include their Church, City Gates Church in London Center, and community outreach and cafe in Soho, London.

I am full-on with classes, courses, and helping out by ministering in classes such as their English conversation class. This class aides the internationals represented within London to become more familiar with English. The class I was helping had 14 different countries represented. Each person was supported by practicing and learning more conversational English. This lead to conversations about God, Church invitations, and Alpha Course invitations. Alpha Course is an open context class where people come to explore Christianity.

Serving a meal in the Red light district of London, Soho was an amazing experience as 10-12 came to talk with our team and engage with the ministry. I was even able to present the devotional at the beginning of the evening!

This mission so far has been a wonderful experience and is getting better by the day as I start to engage with some of the specific work I would be doing if I stayed for the long term. This ministry and the community have been such a blessing to partner with, meet, and get to know.

FINAL UPDATE

FOR THE LONDON MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

UPDATE - After my time in London, I continue to pray about the Love Beyond Ministry connection and am open to what the Lord has for my connection with this ministry, although I move in another direction at this time.

My time in London, connecting with new partners and re-connecting my older ministry partners was a tremendous blessing on every side. I particularly look forward to connecting personally with the missionary friends and connections I made from my time at Love Beyond ministry in the years to come.

Week 3 & 4 Update

The last two weeks in the UK were greatly impactful as I finished up the missionary team in Camden, London, enjoyed sightseeing some in London, went to a conference in Birmingham, and then was able to join and encourage ministry partners in Surrey, UK.
